Earlier today, Apple confirmed an upcoming April 20th media event with ‘Spring Loaded’ invitations. With the invite comes a cryptic message hidden deep within the graphic design. This Apple Pencil stylized drawing seems to further indicate iPad devices may be a large feature of the announcement. Regardless, we have Apple event wallpapers inspired by the new invitations.
Another clue to additional color formats, the drawn Apple logo on the invitation comes in multiple colors. With the most recent iPad Air and AirPods Max colors, it may not be too far-fetched to expect the color scheme to make its way to the iPad Pro or even a completely redesigned iMac. Popping color may also point to the new mini-LED display technology that is widely rumored to be offered on at least the 12.9″ iPad Pro. It would be strange, however, for Apple to only offer an enhanced screen experience on the largest size iPad, given both the 11″ and 12.9″ devices are considered ‘pro’fessional devices.
iPad mini devices may also receive a refresh, but they are not anticipated to adopt the modern form factor, like the iPad Pro (2018, 2020) or iPhone 12. It is expected to keep Touch ID as well. However, the little iPad may receive internal spec bumps.
AirTags, if they are actually a real hardware device and not just an MFi-style open source software capability, may actually be announced. After more than a year worth of rumors, the Apple AirTags could possibly be announced as well.
The following wallpapers by graphic artist @AR72014 celebrate the Apple event invitations. He does incredible work.
